Product Overview:

MSI Industrial Fans Series - FDC are suitable for the systems of Central Ventilation, Air Cooling, Air conditioning, Dust Collection, Fume Extraction, Clean Air Rooms, Heating, Hot Ovens, Furnaces, Pneumatic Conveying and various types of Industrial applications. These fans are provided with medium speed double curved (orward Curve Radial Tip bladed impeller.

These fans are available in Single Inlet Single Width and Double Inlet Double Width construction suitable for duct mounting and plenum mounting.

The impellers of Series - FDC of these fans have deep wide blades. Which are more efficient and very rigid. Also extra width and open tip of impeller blade helps in maintaining low velocity resulting in low noise operation.

The FDC - Series impellers with the dia up to 630 mm are fabricated without Tie - Rods and whereas impellers with the dia from 710 mm up to 1220 mm are fabricated with Tie - Rods. The impellers are fabricated in all riveted construction.

The FDC - Series Housings are manufactured in hot dip galvanised steel sheets. No electrical spot welding is used as the housing is fixed to the side panels on the Imported Pitts burg Lock Forming Machine.

The stationary Inlet Cones are furnished as standard part on MSI - FDC single inlet and double inlet fans. These Inlet Cones are provided to reduce turbulence and air noise and increase efficiency. These are particularly valuable to the user when elbows and obstructions on the inlet bend to disturb the proper entry of air into the fan impeller. In addition to the above benefits these inlet cones also act as an effective safety guard without the obstruction to air flow as usually uncounted with Guard Screen.

The impellers are designed for limit load characteristics and do not consume more power than specified on particular speed irrespective of the air quantity discharged and pressure developed. This provides excellent safety in selecting the motor sizes / ratings.

These fans are provided with double row self aligned ball bearings in Arr. VBD (V. Belt Driven and whereas Arr. DD ( Direct Driven the impeller is directly mounted on to the motor shaft.

GENERAL:

Forward Curved Blades, developed at our laboratories.

Maximum efficiency up to 78%, depending on the size of wheel, high pressures and large volumes.

Our characteristics curves apply when utilising a fan housing made in accordance with our recommendations, determined in connection with our fan inlets type ED 1 on a MSI standard test bench in accordance with DIN 24163 / ISO 5801 (Oil and gas burners: recommendations of housing and characteristics curves upon request).

MODELS:

Available as single (S) - and double (D) flow model from 200 to 1000 mm, made out of galvanised sheet steel, rolled construction, partly with bracings.

Application from - 5 degC to 100 degC :
as to catalogue details.

Special executions in other sizes, hubs and materials like e.g.:

1. Aluminium
2. Stainless steel
3. Black iron plate
4. Heat resisting steel
5. Galvanised Steel

Direction of Rotation is determined by looking into the suction side of the wheel. Wheel fit of the double flow wheels generally in the clockwise rotating wheel.

BALANCING:
All the impellers are balanced both statically and dynamically to give noiseless and vibration free service.

OUTLET FLANGE:
All the blowers with housings are supplied with outlet flange for easy connection for the supply ducts.

HOUSING - DRAIN :
Half coupling, less plug. Welded in the lowest point of the scroll / housing for cleaning and draining out the water.

PAINTING:
All the blowers are grinded and two coats of anti corrosion resistant primer are applied before given final finish of enamel / epoxy paint as per the customer requirements.

CLEAN - INSPECTION DOOR:
Flush mounted, plate type with quick opening tension latches and airtight with rubber gasket are available optional.

BEARINGS:
All classes of fans are supplied with lubricated heavy - duty self-aligning ball bearings flange or pillow blocks with spherical roller bearings used on larger and higher duty fans. Bearings are selected for continuous operation and ample size for the best possible operating results.
